Sex Toy Meanings

When it comes to the world of adult sex toys the jargon and abbreviations used can be somewhat confusing. You head off with anticipation expecting the process of procuring your chosen sex toy a cinch and instead you return scratching your head.

Here’s our laymen’s  glossary of sex toy names and there meanings, feel free to add any you think we have missed!

Anal Beads – A string of spheres which you pop up your bottom. There is usually a handle to pull them back out and lots of people remark that the removal is best sharp and at the point of orgasm

Anal Vibes – Vibrators designed for anal insertion with precautionary flared bases so that they don’t disappear up your derrierre.

BDSM – Bondage play which can involve power play, domination, spanking, fantasy scenarios

Butt Plugs – A torpedo shaped dildo with flared base which fits inside your bum for stimulation during sex, masturbation or oral enjoyment. Many comment that having sex with a butt plug in gives a fuller feeling all round.

Clitoral Vibrators – Small vibrators shaped to stimulate the clitoris. These mini vibes are usually far too small for penetrative use but perfect for the clitoris which exists only to give you pleasure.

Cock Rings – A band designed to fit around the penis at the base and restrict the blood flow away from an erection. This results in a firmer and temporarily larger erection.

Dildo – A fake phallus. A sex toy designed to act as a male member made from a huge amount of different material. Dildos are penis shaped as they are a penetrative toy.

Double Dildo – A longer dildo used to penetrate two people at the same time or the vagina and anus at the same time

Harness – A leather/Nylon strap which fits around the pelvis and holds your sex toy of choice. The harness then enables the simulation of sex between two people

Love Balls – Usually two spheres attached on a piece of string to be inserted inside the vagina. The muscles then tighten around the balls exercising these crucial female muscles giving a tighter vagina

Lubricants – Sex enhancers used to lubricate the anus or vagina in preparation for sex toys or intercourse

Vibrator – A sex toy which vibrates which can cover dildos, clitoral stimulatore, butt plugs etc

Whip – A whip used for BDSM play

Restraints – Hand cuffs or bondage rope usually used during soft bondage

Silicone – The cashmere of sex toy materials which is body safe and warms to the touch

Cyberskin – Closest to the human skin for experience
